Khamenei's Angels. Hot stuff.

You may or may not have heard of Iran training women to be police officers. I did catch a snippet of it on the teev in passing last year and it pretty much faded away.

I may have given it little thought, due to life and other things, but Alhamedi over at The Religious Policeman has taken the mickey out of the training video for these new policewomen.

If you want a giggle, head on over. It broke me right up! :)

The msot interesting thing is that Alhamedi is that he living in the UK, not fighting for religious freedom or tolerance in Saudi....

Its easy he hide behind another country. Its a good job people in the Uk didnt do that when Hitler was around.

Mike, you can call me Nilk (or nilknarf or anything in-between). Leeianne is my bogan babe alter ego. A bogan is an Australian relative of the American redneck.

And anon 1.21 you have a good point. I've never thought of it that way before.

However, with the situation the way it is, perhaps this is the only way he can fight against Islam. He is hiding in the UK, and still protecting his family. If he came out openly as an apostate, what would happen to those he holds dear? I don't know what the situation is with those he knows in Saudi, but I doubt it would be great. Speaking against the regime in the so-called Magical Kingdom is not a healthy occupation to do openly.

Actually, the most interesting things are that he never posts anything in Arabic that isn't cut-n-pasted, he's made some truly idiotic mistakes when using to use the langauge, and he deceptively edits people's comments on his blog. That is, when he doesn't just delete them so he can appear to have the last word. Fi ra'i, ya'na 'an huwa kathib kabir (IMO, this means he's a big liar). In all likelyhood, he's just a brit who wanted a memorable schtick for his blog("I'm a Saudi dissident! Really!"), and people have fallen for it.

Thanks, Mike. I've taken him pretty much at face value, as I read more for entertainment.

If I'm after serious information, I tend to visit other sites.

I'm not a commenter at his blog, so I don't know anything about editing comments. It's something to consider, though, as I don't believe in editing - too lazy, and more importantly editing is re-arranging someone else's words and should never be done without permission.

I agree, he can be pretty entertaining, but much of his audience takes everything he says as the proverbial 'gospal truth'. There are so many _genuine_ reformers out there, it annoys me greatly when a fraud like him get's attention instead. (When of course, all attention _should_ be focused on ME, ME, ME! ;-) )
