Dimetrodon with the sail, MB. Good go, though. :) Iguanadon is the one with the large thumb claws - originally it was thought to look like an iguana, hence the name.

I was dinosaur mad in the 70s, and the 80s, got all the Jurassic Park movies, got the Dinosaurs dodgy sitcom from the 90s on vid, got Dinotopia for the rugrat. Need to start on my Harryhausen collection. Only got the Sinbad movies.

Tiberius got it right. I can't give out any prizes though, unless you like the warm glow ofa job well done lol.

Well I was dinosaur mad as a kid. Me and this other guy in pre-primary were both dinosaur mad.

And once we got to Yr 1 and access to the "big" library, we were amazed at how many big books on dinosaurs there were.

All we did all through class was talk about dinosaurs with each other and so the teacher had (what she thought to be) a great idea to keep us quiet.

Since we liked talking about dinosaurs so much, if we didn't stop talking during class, then we would have give a presentation to the whole class about dinosaurs.

So we looked at each other and said "Ok. Miss Walters. When do you want us to do it?"

We got sent to the library to do some research (which mainly involved looking through the dinosaur books and drawing various dinosaurs on butchers paper and getting their specifics (length, height, weight, diet, period of existence etc) and writing a setence or two on each one.

And being the dinosaur fanatics we were, we must have had about 20 sheets of butchers paper. We probably could have gone on for an hour were we allowed but I think the teacher cut us short after about 5 or 10 minutes.

Our presentation went over a real treat :)

I think most kids are dinosaur mad. Except for my brother. He was and is airplane mad. Strange bloke.

Sooooooo, does this mean you're going to start giving those "cat-blog Friday" folk a run for their money? Dinosaur Friday?

I guessed the first one but the main thing that appeals to me is that all except the one that looks like a chook will probably NOT be inclined to turn me into dinosaur poop (unless I really am as green as I'm cabbage-looking! :)

Waitaminit - where'd that 3rd one come from? That was a Turn-Jai-Into-Dino-Poop model wasn't it?

(just making mental notes for when I get that time machine for Christmas.... :)

Jai, the teeth on dimetrodon would rip you to shreds.

Caz, it's tempting. If I could be bothered, I'd have a dinosaur of the day. There are, after all, plenty out there. PAchycephalosaurus is good. I also wanted a pic of rhamphoryncus by couldn't find one. I'll have to dig up my books.

Rhamphoryncus is the best word.
