Silent Majority hopefully getting rowdy.

I've not been able to find a link, but the Hun has a phone poll on the letters pages every monday to friday. You know the ones - Should our hospitals step up security? (97.9% yes, 2.1% no, 144 calls.) That was last friday's question.

Yesterday's question, very topical these days, asked:
Should immigrants who incite violence against innocent people be deported?

The results? With 3078 calls, 98.5% YES!!! 1.5% no.

Blind Freddy could see that one coming, even though there would be some callers who might call in more than once. It's still quite a remarkable response. Looks like people are starting to wake up to the idea that we might have people in our midst who do not necessarily appreciate all that they have.

And about bloody time, too.

Today's question: Should parental leave be guaranteed in the new workplace legislation? I'm too tight to waste 35c on a phone poll like this (I did vote in yesterday's, I confess), so you will have to guess what I think.
